Baptism
Infants/children are baptized at the request of their parents.
Parents are asked to attend a mandatory Baptismal Preparation class prior to the baptism of their first child. These classes are held four times a year. Please plan in advance to attend. Upcoming classes will be announced in the parish bulletin. Please call the rectory office to reserve your spot.
Baptisms are held on both Saturday and Sunday, normally after either the 4 p.m. or 10 a.m. Mass, schedules permitting. Baptisms may be held during the Mass, per parental request.
Some things to keep in mind:
- When considering someone to serve as a godparent, remember that they must be 16 years of age, and at least one godparent MUST be Catholic, active within their parish, and have received their sacraments (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation).
