OUR PARISH HISTORY
On November 26, 1858, Bishop Henry Damien Junker authorized the building of a Catholic Church in Red Bud. Our church was completed and dedicated to honor St. John the Baptist. Today, the Church continues to serve the community and its parishioners by carrying out the work of Jesus Christ on Earth. We cherish the memories of our ancestors; many who lie in our cemetery and many who are founding fathers of our church and community. Over the past 160 years, we have had 3 church buildings, 3 school buildings, 21 pastors, and so many dedicated parishioners. So much has been accomplished and yet there is still so much to do. All are welcome as we continue the work that was started by our ancestors so many years ago.
