Outreach Committee
This committee reaches out to our parishioners and the community in a variety of ways:
Baby Bottle Collection is an annual drive in conjunction with Life Network. Our parishioners take home and fill plastic baby bottles with change that is then given back to Life Network.
Bereavement: After a parishioner dies, his/her immediate family member will receive five books on the process of grieving. These book are sent in three month intervals to address the various stages of grief.
Christmas Outreach: Several needy families from the Red Bud Community are recipients of gifts galore for their children at Christmas. Parishioners sign up to shop for a specific child(ren) and return the wrapped gifts to be distributed to each family. Monetary donations are also accepted and this money is used to purchase gifts as needed by the committee.
The Annual Food Drive is held in the spring to benefit children in our community who will be in need of food once the school year ends. All food and money collected is given to The Human Service Center in Red Bud.
Meal-to-Go brings a meal and a visit to the door of parishioners who are ill, recovering from surgery, new parents, and the grieving. Ladies from the parish prepare the meals once a name is given to us and then the meal is delivered to the home - along with a visit of course!
Nursing Home Gifts: An Advent Tree full of gift tags is on display for parishioners to pick and choose items that they would like to purchase for the Red Bud Nursing Home Residents. These are small personal care items which are much needed by the residents.
Parish Nurses: Our Parish Nurses consists of a group of ten women in our parish who volunteer once a month to take blood pressure readings before and after a weekend mass - usually the second or third weekend of each month. All information is strictly confidential.
Welcoming Committee: This committee is under "Outreach" and the main goal is to welcome new and returning members, RCIA candidates, newlyweds, visiting guests, and regular parishioners.
- Bi-Annual "Welcome Weekends" are held where the most recent new members are given a special blessing by Father after mass, a small gift, and a
welcoming reception in the vestibule of church.
- Greeters are assigned at each door to welcome church members and guests before and after each weekend mass.
- We will keep an updated Parish Booklet available to all who are new to the parish and the city of Red Bud.

Christmas Outreach
Christmas Outreach Organizer, Adele, shares: "Our goal is to put smiles on children's faces on Christmas morning. We are given family names from local agencies and with the help of our generous church members we supply gifts for the children, wrapped and ready for delivery. We supply about seven gifts per child. These are usually low-income families that, without our help, would probably not have a Christmas. I believe our church family looks forward to this project. I have a team that helps me every year and without them I could not do it. I also get cash donations for those who don't want to buy a gift."
