Meet Our Youth Minister
Jena Hoeninger
|
Jena lives in Red Bud with her husband and 3 children and is a NICU nurse. Jena has had a passion for youth ministry from an early age. Jena was a volunteer at the Shrine in Belleville while in grade school. In high school she served on the Diocesan Youth Advisory Council (DYMAC) and was involved with Youth Sing Praise. She has been a team member on numerous Teen Encounter Christ retreats and has served as a camp counselor for special needs children and for children with epilepsy. Jena has also been on medical mission trips abroad and has completed the Camino de Santiago (the pilgrimage of St. James) hiking through France and Spain and earning her Compostela. Prior to moving back to Red Bud, she was the youth minister for her church in St. Louis. She is a graduate of St. Louis University, Gibault High School, and is a former Alumni of the year of St. John the Baptist Catholic Grade School.

We have started a new chapter of the Dead Theologian Society. Come join us as we talk about the lives of the Saints! As we journey alongside these awesome people, we will see why we consider them saints and why they are so still important to us today.
